I’m Mike Matthews, a veteran full time freelance production sound mixer and location sound recordist. I’m an IATSE Local 488 member but I can also work non-union gigs.
I live in Montana in the summer and Tucson in the winter. I am currently in Montana until late October 2023, but will travel myself to work in Tucson for the right job with a few days notice.

I have top of the line audio gear, the knowledge and experience to use it properly, excellent references and I absolutely love my job. I have a ton of recent and ongoing experience on reality TV, docs, news, features, interviews, commercials and shorts. I also have an MFA in digital film making, a great attitude and would love to talk to you about your next project.
I work as a local in Tucson and can easily travel to Phoenix, Flagstaff or anywhere else in Arizona or southern New Mexico.
